Who we are
This website belongs to Guest Barbers, a barbershop run by Stephen Guest at 17 Fawcett Road, Southsea, Portsmouth PO4 0BZ. We are responsible for any personal information this website collects. You can contact us on 07961 119961.
What this website collects
Very little. This website has no contact forms and no accounts, and it does not use cookies or tracking pixels. Like almost every website, our hosting provider processes basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver pages securely and protect the site from abuse.
Booking appointments
When you book or buy a gift card, you leave this website and use Fresha, our booking provider. Fresha collects the details needed for your appointment, such as your name, phone number and email address, and shares them with us so we can look after your booking. Fresha’s own privacy policy explains how they handle your information.
We use your booking details only to manage your appointments and to contact you about them. Our lawful basis is that this is necessary to provide the service you have asked for.
Maps, Instagram and other links
Our Visit page shows a map embedded from Google Maps. When that page loads the map, your browser connects to Google, which receives basic technical information such as your IP address. Links to Google Maps, Instagram and Fresha take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.
Cookies
This website does not set any cookies of its own. The Google map on our Visit page may set Google’s own cookies, as described in Google’s privacy policy.
How long we keep information
We keep appointment records for as long as you are a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, for example to keep notes about the cut you like. You can ask us to delete them at any time.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it.
To make a request, speak to us in the shop or call 07961 119961. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If we change how this website works, for example by adding a contact form or analytics, we will update this page. You can always find it in the footer of every page.
